The
Disabled Transportation Society (DTS) of Grande Prairie
is a non-profit society, with a mission to supply door
to door transportation for persons with special needs,
who are unable to use other forms of public
transportation, safely and with dignity.
Our fleet of five, wheelchair accessible busses and one standard fifteen passenger van serve clients and members in and around the City of Grande Prairie.
Our volunteer board of directors is elected by the membership at the society's annual general meeting.
We are largely funded by the City of Grande Prairie, and supplemented by donations, bingos, casinos and raffles. We are proud to work with the City of Grande Prairie to provide transportation, and an improved quality of life, for persons with disabilities.
To be a DTS member, or client, certain qualifying factors apply. Clients must be;
a. physically or mentally disabled
b. persons who are legally blind
c. persons who have reached their 75th birthday
(Persons referred to in a & b above will have priority)
